Each episode is 10-20 minutes in length and told in an edited narrative style. A few of the stories Bogardus will tell include those of:

• A network news producer who helped decide what video we saw, but more importantly what video we didn’t see, on September 11
• An ESPN anchor who struggled to find a balance between sharing the horrible news and giving viewers a break from it
• A young news assistant whose first week on the job took her on a harrowing journey to Ground Zero and back
• Why a news photographer decided to keep looking through his camera’s lens, despite hearing that another hijacked plane was headed his way

“What I like best about this series is how each of the stories stands alone but also revolves around the themes of service and selflessness,” Bogardus said. “On that day, journalists rushed toward the danger even as other people were running away. They did it out of a sense of duty to inform the public. That is among the best qualities of the profession.”

Bogardus will begin releasing the new episodes on Sept. 11 on all podcasting sites including the Quinnipiac University Podcast Studio’s webpage. Last year’s ten episodes will also be available.
