Building on a successful inaugural year, Quinnipiac’s growing summer internship housing program provides ambitious Bobcats and visiting students with safe, convenient living and amenities while they advance their professional journeys as interns at businesses across the state.

Through outreach and word of mouth, this unique program is being embraced by employers and interns alike for providing the comfortable, reliable housing students need so they can concentrate on gaining meaningful professional experience.

In just one year, Quinnipiac’s summer internship housing applications have significantly increased, showing a surge in interest from both Bobcats and visiting students, said Shannon LeGault, Associate Vice President for Conferences and Events.

“We’re finding it’s a great opportunity for our partners, local companies, and organizations, because they’re able to expand the reach of students that they can recruit in order to get top talent that may live outside of the region,” said LeGault. “It’s a great option for the students and their families, because they know the students will be staying in a safe, convenient, and beautiful location where they will be in community with other students.”

Offering fully air-conditioned housing on the scenic Mount Carmel and York Hill Campuses, accommodations include suites or apartments with full kitchens, bathrooms and laundry access, free WiFi, and free on-site parking. Dining options are available at the Mount Carmel dining hall, located one minute away from York Hill Campus.

In addition to receiving a complimentary gym membership at Quinnipiac’s state-of-the-art Recreation and Wellness Center on the Mount Carmel Campus, students will have access to outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, campus walking trails and picnic tables, and hiking trails at nearby Sleeping Giant State Park.

To foster a vibrant, dual-campus community, free social gatherings will rotate monthly between the Mount Carmel and York Hill campuses. The gatherings are a new addition to Quinnipiac’s summer internship housing program this year.

“We think it will be a fun way for the students to get to know each other, network and socialize outside of their internships,” said LeGault.

Summer internship housing is available from May 17 through August 2, 2026, to students 18 and older who are currently enrolled in a college or university. To be approved, applicants must provide proof of a current internship or job or be a participant in Quinnipiac’s Bridge to Practice III program. Interested students can learn more or apply online at Quinnipiac 2026 Summer Internship Housing.

LeGault said Quinnipiac’s unique summer internship housing program offers the ultimate home base, allowing students to excel in their internships and recharge in a beautiful New England setting.

“It’s a great opportunity, especially for those who are not Quinnipiac students, to experience Quinnipiac and the beauty of our campuses,” said LeGault. “Instead of spending their summer isolated in an apartment somewhere, they can focus on their internship knowing they are in a safe, convenient location in community with other students.”
