Eric Friedman ’26, MBA ’27, has been recognized with multiple top academic honors reflecting his dedication, perseverance and commitment to excellence throughout his college career.

Friedman is the recipient of the president’s scholarship award, the alumni association academic achievement award, and the finance department outstanding senior award, a combination of recognitions that reflects both his academic success and impact within the School of Business.

“I am truly honored that my professors took the time to nominate me, and I do not take that lightly,” Friedman said. “To me, these awards represent the work ethic and determination that I have tried to bring to everything I do.”

While these accolades highlight Friedman’s achievements, he said they also represent the challenges he has overcome throughout his college career.

“College is not always easy, and there were definitely moments of challenge,” he said “These recognitions serve as a reminder that the effort was worth it.”

Friedman credits Quinnipiac’s 3+1 accelerated dual degree finance and master’s of business administration program as a key factor in shaping both his academic and professional development.

“The program has challenged me to think critically and manage a demanding workload,” Friedman said. “It has helped me develop skills that go beyond the classroom, including time management, communication and public speaking.”

Friedman’s success in the program did not come without careful planning. He emphasized the importance of support in balancing rigorous coursework with other responsibilities.

“I built a consistent schedule and made sure to take advantage of professor office hours whenever I needed help,” he said. “I also leaned on my friends and roommates, who were a huge source of support.”

Beyond academics, Friedman’s involvement at the university further reflects his growth and recognition. As a member of Zeta Beta Tau, he developed leadership skills and formed lasting relationships that enhanced his overall college experience. Friedman also served as an Engagement Fellow for Associate Professor of Accounting Stephanie Miller, an experience that gave him a new perspective on education and strengthened his communication abilities.

This summer, Friedman will continue building his professional foundation through an internship at ROK Financial on Long Island.

“I am excited to gain firsthand exposure to the financial services industry and apply what I have learned at Quinnipiac,” Friedman said. “I see this as a valuable opportunity to learn and grow.”

As he looks ahead, Friedman plans to return to Quinnipiac to complete his MBA. While his long-term career path is still taking shape, he remains confident in the foundation he has built.

“I am excited for the journey ahead and confident that Quinnipiac has given me the tools to succeed,” he said.

Friedman hopes his achievements can serve as an example for other students striving for success.

“Work hard and stay committed, but also take advantage of the opportunities around you,” he said. “Those experiences shape who you become.”
