Associate Dean of Career Development

Part-Time Faculty

Millie VandenBroek is the Associate Dean of Career Development at Quinnipiac University School of Law. In this role she leads career development programs and services, connects law students with career advancement opportunities, and provides one-on-one coaching to help law students launch their careers with confidence and essential job skills.

Millie earned a Juris Doctor at Georgetown University Law Center and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. She also holds an Associate Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation. Millie brings to Quinnipiac experience from a variety of legal roles and nonprofit leadership positions, from starting her career in the litigation department of a large firm to serving, most recently, as Staff Attorney and Policy Counsel at the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center (CVLC).

At CVLC, Millie represented veterans with stigmatizing less-than-honorable discharges stemming from PTSD and other service-acquired conditions in their cases before the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. She served as a contributing author to the leading practice manual on military records correction law, the Military Discharge Upgrade Legal Practice Manual (ABA, 2021), and co-authored “Discretionary Injustice: How Racial Disparities in the Military's Administrative Separation System Harm Black Veterans” (CVLC and Black Veterans Project, 2022). Millie has taught as a Visiting Clinical Lecturer at Yale Law School and served as faculty for the Practicing Law Institute.
