New Student Roommate Request Process

Incoming first-year students may select one roommate. Students are encouraged to discuss their answers to the lifestyle questions on the housing application with their potential roommate to help determine if you are compatible and can create a positive living experience.

Students with completed New Student Housing Contracts are eligible to select a roommate. Housing contracts are due May 11, 2025.

Sign the Housing Contract

Roommate requests will be accepted from June 2, 2025 through June 15, 2025.

All roommate requests must be mutual, which means your requested roommate must confirm the request to be assigned together by June 15, 2025.

Selecting a roommate does not guarantee assignment in a double room. Roommate pairs may be assigned in quads with another matched roommate pair.

Students participating in The Grove experience or an LLC must choose a roommate from other participants in their program. There will be separate roommate selection processes for students in these groups. The Grove and LLC requests will supersede roommate requests. If you sign up for the Grove or an LLC and you plan to pick a roommate, and that person is not selected in the same program, you will be matched and assigned  with another participant.

Roommate Selection Process
  • Students may select a roommate by logging in to MyHousing and choosing Roommate Selection from the menu.

  • Search for your requested roommate by first or last name then click “Request Roommate.”

  • Your requested roommate must then log in to MyHousing, click Roommate Selection to see their Pending Roommate requests.

  • To confirm a roommate request, click on the three dots on the left and chose the match icon.

All roommate requests must be mutually submitted by June 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
