Fitness and Recreation

Whether it's working out in our new Recreation and Wellness Center, challenging yourself on the two-story climbing wall, joining a group class or hitting the nearby trails for a hike, you're never short of options for staying active, having fun and keeping fit. We offer dozens of classes and experiences each week, including Balletone, barre, bootcamp, HIIT, several types of yoga, hiking, meditation, Pilates, small group training, Spinning®, Ugifit®, and Zumba®.

No matter your level of fitness, we'll help you get in shape and perform at your best in our fitness centers across our 3 campuses — from exercising your body through powerlifting programs and Spinning® classes, to sharpening your mind through yoga sessions and recreation opportunities.

Our new Recreation and Wellness Center is a thoughtfully designed facility that underscores the university’s commitment to educating the whole person: body, mind and spirit. Of the new 60,000-square-foot space, 15,000 is dedicated to health and counseling, offering a full suite of counseling and healthcare services through Quinnipiac’s partnership with Hartford HealthCare. Nearly 100,000 square feet remain from the attached Athletic and Recreation Center.

When you're not hitting the gym, head outside and serve up a game on our tennis and volleyball courts, pass the ball on our outdoor basketball courts and athletics fields, and if you’re on the Mount Carmel Campus, simply cross the street and embrace the miles of hiking trails and beautiful seasonal views at Sleeping Giant State Park.

Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday - Sunday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
