The Certified Nurse Aide training program at Quinnipiac University prepares students with the knowledge, confidence and skills necessary to provide safe and competent care to diverse individuals across healthcare settings. The course focuses on nurse aide theory and competencies and is framed using the State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health regulations and guidelines for Certified Nurse Aide training.

Certification is a pathway to healthcare job opportunities including long-term care, acute care and community and home care settings. In addition, the CNA certification provides a foundation for additional training and roles such as patient care associates and patient care technicians*.
*Note that the CNA faculty and administrators will assist out of state students to transfer their newly acquired CNA Certification to their home state.
