Post-Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education Admissions

We make our admission process as straightforward and personalized as possible. If you have any questions or need guidance, our counselors and advisers in the School of Nursing are available to assist you at every stage of your application process.

Admission Timeline

Applications for part-time study are accepted on a rolling basis. Final deadlines are generally two weeks prior to the start of classes.

  • Spring start application deadline (begin classes in January): January 1

  • Fall start application deadline (begin classes in August): August 1

Applications are evaluated once all materials are received by Quinnipiac. Students are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible for their desired semester. Class sizes are limited.

Admission Requirements

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree (BSN) and a master's degree (MSN) in nursing.

  • Applicant must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better in undergraduate and graduate programs.

  • Applicant must hold an unencumbered and unrestricted nursing (RN) license.

Clinical Requirements for Online Students

As an online program, this MSN is available to students from within and outside of the State of Connecticut. The School of Nursing will identify clinical placements for all in-state students; those living in other states will be required to identify potential practicum sites well in advance so that the School of Nursing can establish necessary clinical affiliation agreements.

Students from states outside of Connecticut that do not allow students to complete clinical rotations (e.g., New York) will be notified that they will not be able to complete the program’s clinical requirements in their home state.
