Preparing front line and systemic leaders in modern nursing
Quinnipiac’s online RN to MSN in Operational Leadership is perfect for working nurses seeking to grow as leaders within today’s ever-changing health care system. Our curriculum emphasizes leadership at both the point of care and at a higher organizational level, and builds the in-demand skills needed to thrive in each setting. The highly flexible program also enables practicing nurses to complete their degree entirely online with convenient and relevant fieldwork opportunities.
The first part of the program emphasizes the advanced nursing skills needed to improve the overall patient experience at the point of care through an exploration of research and evidence-based practices. Students who successfully complete this coursework receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and proceed directly into graduate-level work.
The MSN coursework focuses on health care management and organizational dynamics to prepare nurse leaders with the necessary qualities to succeed as educators or care coordinators.
Students seeking to fast-track their education may complete this program at an accelerated pace. By taking additional course work each semester, students can earn their BSN in as little as one year and complete their MSN in one additional year.
