A flexible pathway to advanced nursing practice
The Family Nurse Practitioner program prepares you to diagnose and manage common illnesses in primary care for patients of all ages and to assume the responsibility inherent in prescribing medications. After graduation, you’ll be eligible to sit for one of the national family nurse practitioner certification exams.
This flexible program allows students to complete almost all of their coursework online outside of three one-week immersions that must be completed on campus. The track can be completed either part-time or full-time, enabling students to expand their current roles as leaders in a multitude of settings and specialties. Students will work with dedicated faculty advisers to create a pathway that best suits their professional needs and wants.
Within two years of completing your MSN, you have the option to seamlessly transition into the Doctor of Nursing Practice program without losing credits or duplicating coursework.
