The micro-credential in Geriatric Physical Therapy recognizes learners who complete advanced training and acquire a greater depth of understanding regarding the complexities of physical therapy examination and treatment for the geriatric client.
Program Overview
Within this Level III Badge, learners will gain specialized training to differentiate between normal and abnormal age-related physiological changes and determine the psychosocial and sociodemographic factors that impact care of the geriatric client. You will practice creating an appropriate plan of care for a geriatric client using evidence informed practice before analyzing the role of the physical therapist in promoting successful aging.
