Join the Diagnostic Imaging Club

The Diagnostic Imaging Club provides students interested in the interdisciplinary science of Diagnostic Imaging with opportunities to continue their education and hands-on experiences outside of the classroom. The club aims to establish a welcoming community that will lead to connections, support and experiential opportunities for its members. 

The club meets once a month and allows Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Sciences, Radiologist Assistant and Advanced Medical Imaging and Leadership students to come together for fun, support and collaboration.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department is proud to announce the reestablishment of its chapter of Lambda Nu, Connecticut Sigma. Lambda Nu is the national honor society for the radiologic and imaging sciences, with a mission to foster academic excellence, encourage research and professional development, and recognize exemplary student achievement.

Membership in Lambda Nu reflects the highest standards of academic scholarship and professional commitment in the imaging sciences. Students who are inducted into the honor society become eligible for national recognition and support, including the opportunity to apply for Lambda Nu scholarships, which are awarded annually to outstanding members across the country. These scholarships not only help reduce the financial burden of education but also enhance students’ résumés and professional visibility as they prepare to enter the healthcare workforce.
