David ’83 and Patricia ’84 Farrell Career and Academic Advising Center

The David ’83 and Patricia ’84 Farrell Career and Academic Advising Center, located on the first floor of the School of Business, provides you with the resources you need to reach your career goals. The suite offers:

  • Drop-In Advising where students can stop by for academic related assistance from trained graduate students for help in navigating systems, understanding program requirements, conducting advanced course searches and other course scheduling needs.
  • Resume Review with Jill Koehler, the associate dean of career development, or Dave Bouton, the assistant director of career development
  • 1:1 academic advising and troubleshooting by a member of the Student Services team to help students with circumstances that fall outside the expertise of the faculty advisor. This includes exploratory conversations about deciding majors or minors, or conversations about how a study abroad program may work with a student’s program plan.
  • Information on our Build Your Career Tool Kit
  • Opportunities to learn about yourself and potential career pathways by taking the Focus 2 assessment and talking about your result in a career coaching appointment

The Financial Technology Center

Professor Whitney Sanders teaches a class of business students in the Financial Technology Center.

The Financial Technology Center features a classroom and laboratory where students learn to use the data, technology, investment tools and trading platforms they will encounter in their internships and jobs. These amenities include:

  • A state-of-the-art investment and trading center designed to facilitate both team-based projects and individual research and analysis

  • Twelve Bloomberg Professional Terminals providing access to real-time market data

  • S&P Capital IQ for financial, accounting, economic and industry data that is accessible on campus or remotely

  • Real-world trading simulations, financial models and stock valuation tools that bridge the gap between theory and practice

  • A student-managed portfolio valued at $6.1 million

M&T Bank Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Quinnipiac’s innovation hub — the M&T Bank Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship helps students and faculty turn ideas into viable business solutions by tapping into the expertise of the center director, faculty experts and experienced business professionals. The Center also provides advisory services and workshops in design thinking, ideation, business plan development, financing, sales, marketing and start-up mentoring.

M&T Bank Center for Women and Business

The M&T Bank Center for Women and Business supports a community of women focused on achieving their professional goals through skill-building workshops, motivational events and networking opportunities.
