The College of Arts & Sciences has numerous experiential learning opportunities. Experiential learning extends the classroom beyond the four walls into the world outside, where students are asked to apply their classroom learning to solve a variety of real-world problems. It is the most powerful learning tool we have for preparing students to thrive in their chosen careers because it combines real-world application with understanding and mastery of the subject matter.
Many majors in the College of Arts & Sciences require that students participate in an internship, and we have dedicated faculty to support students in finding and applying to one or more internships during the academic year, or during school breaks. Students also have the opportunity to conduct independent research, or partner on faculty-led research in their respective fields of study.
