Dive into a hands-on course
Coral Reef Organismal Diversity (BIO 207) is an interactive course where participants focus on a series of topics related to coral reef and marine ecology, with an emphasis on adaptations to underwater life, conspecific and interspecific relationships, and the role conservation and education play in developing responsible tourism practices. Students study the underwater world in a way that relatively few people do: directly via SCUBA diving in Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles. Students are expected to complete multiple dives per day and use their observations to discuss reef structure, animal behavior, conservation and eco-tourism.
