Quinnipiac students will soon have the opportunity to prepare for successful careers in a new 137,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art, student-centered academic building designed to promote community and interdisciplinary learning that will be called The SITE, which stands for Science, Innovation, Technology and Exploration.
Hands-on learning in the College of Arts & Sciences
Our facilities and centers are equipped with the technology and resources that reflect the many environments that may work in during your career. With dedicated spaces for scientific research, technological innovation, theatrical performances, interdisciplinary collaboration and competition as well as academic and professional advising, the College of Arts & Sciences ensures that teaching and pedagogy extend far beyond the traditional classroom or lecture hall.
360-degree advising is a critical component of the educational experience within the College of Arts & Sciences. Our dedicated advisers support students throughout their Quinnipiac experience to prepare them for life after Quinnipiac — either in the workforce or in advanced study.
Working with their academic advisors, and in partnership with the Career and Experiential Learning Lab, students are empowered to achieve their educational goals and pursue pathways toward successful careers.
At the Advising Commons, students can:
Explore programs of study, experiential learning and study away options
Students develop a relationship with their advisor, characterized by mentorship in academic exploration and life enrichment.
By the end of their first year, students will better understand how to monitor progress toward completion of their degree and how their major is embedded in a larger curricular context.

Black Box Theater
The Theatre Arts Center, located just around the corner from the York Hill Campus, is a 12,000-square-foot facility featuring a two-story black-box theater, scenic shop, design studios, classrooms, faculty offices, a student lounge and additional rehearsal space. It is the perfect space for Quinnipiac to stage their world-class productions.
The Quinnipiac Theater program invites students from all majors to get involved in our theater community. Opportunites exist to perform and assist fellow actors throughout the school year and beyond.
George Sprengelmeyer is the Director of the Music Program at Quinnipiac University and the Artistic Director of the Frank J. Natale concert series.
“BABES IN ARMS” is a musical about teenagers putting on a show in the face of rampant oppression, dubious allyship, raging hormones, and a less-than-hopeful future.
BULGARIA! REVOLT! Is a new folk-rock musical epic co-created by director Elizabeth Dinkova, playwright Miranda Rose Hall and composer Michael Costagliola.
Fallen Angels, Noël Coward’s nearly century-old classic, is a still-fresh portrait of the life-giving intensity of female friendship.
Thebes is a new musical that came to life during lockdown in May 2020. A “workshop production” — Thebes is still not a finalized show and the collaborators foresee great changes to the production as it grows, evolves, changes and advances in its life.
Acclaimed theater director and playwright, G.D. Kimble adapted and directed this new translation of Three Sisters, from the original Russian, focusing on the simplicity, passion and immediacy of Chekhov's writing.
An Iliad spins the familiar tale of gods and goddesses, undying love and endless battles told through an original and immediate voice.
eSports Lab
The state-of-the-art, 830-square-foot eSports Lab in the Rocky Top Student Center features 24 gaming spaces laid out in four rows of six seats. The layout allows for five-person team gaming as well as a four-person gaming console, a monitor for club members, mobile whiteboards and lecterns positioned around the room and suspended and wall-mounted monitors.
Quinnipiac eSports is a competitive program that participates in the MAAC and NACE eSports Leagues.
The career opportunities in the field of eSports are growing at a rapid pace. The industry itself is worth more than a billion dollars globally, bringing in millions of viewers annually.
We currently support intercollegiate teams in League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Valorant.
We provide all the equipment necessary to participate however students are welcome to bring their own if they are more comfortable with their own gear.

The team are back-to-back MAAC Smash Champions (2022 and 2023) and won the MAAC Valorant Championship in 2023 at the LAN championship event in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Game Design and Development Lab
From high-tech workstations to versatile studios, our Game Design and Development Lab empowers aspiring game developers to explore, experiment and bring their imaginative visions to fruition.
Game Design and Development courses are held at one of three labs on campus: our lab in Tator Hall, a new digital lab in the College of Arts & Sciences and the eSports room on Rocky Top. The motion capture lab at the North Haven campus is also available to our students. A new lab, lounge and AR/VR space are currently under construction and planned to open for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Our BA in Game Design and Development program provides students with a comprehensive background in game and interactive media design alongside hands-on experience through game labs, research projects and internships.
Our dedicated VR/AR spaces are slated to open during the 2025-2026 academic year as part of the new South Quad.
A unique feature of our program is the game lab where students work in interdisciplinary teams to build game prototypes. The game lab is offered as a multi-semester sequence beginning in your sophomore year.

Laboratory Spaces and Classrooms
Our modular laboratory spaces as well as laboratory classrooms in Buckman Center and Tator Hall foster an environment where students actively engage with the subject matter to push the boundaries of exploration and discovery. From innovative equipment to collaborative setups, these spaces inspire a hands-on approach, propelling learning beyond textbooks.
Many of our courses utilize these labs, including those within anatomy and physiology, anthropology, biology, chemistry and physics. Our classrooms reinforce our commitment to science literacy and exploration and emulate the laboratories used by professional research scientists, archeologists and medical examiners. Whether they are mixing compounds, carbon dating, examining tissue samples or administering stress tests, students in the natural sciences enjoy access to state-of-the-art equipment.

Quinnipiac University in Washington, D.C.
The Quinnipiac University in Washington, D.C. program gives enthusiastic students from a range of majors the opportunity to live and intern in the nation’s capital, the hub for American politics, government, international relations and national security. Our network is constantly expanding and consists of numerous organizations in the D.C. area, including national security agencies, congressional offices and the White House, as well as think tanks, news corporations, and public affairs agencies.
Center for Psychological Science The Center for Psychological Science is the main learning and research hub for the psychology department. Specialized classrooms allow for group projects, student-faculty meetings, independent study research, interviews, survey studies and experiments.
Bioanthropology Research Institute The Bioanthropology Research Institute is an interdisciplinary hub linking the study of biology, anthropology, archaeology and paleontology. The institute performs research on mummified humans, animals and ancient artifacts through applications such as diagnostic imaging, video endoscopy, photography and laboratory analysis.
Ireland’s Great Hunger Institute Through a program of lectures, conferences, courses and publications, Ireland’s Great Hunger Institute at Quinnipiac University offers a deeper understanding of the causes and consequences of the Irish Famine, also known as An Gorta Mór. The Institute also fosters an appreciation for Irish culture and history.
