Voting is one way to be part of decisions that affect your community, ensures that your voice is heard in shaping policies, and strengthens democracy by holding leaders accountable. Explore resources for how to vote as a student at Quinnipiac.

Voting in 3 Easy Steps

Determine Where You Will Vote

If you are a residential student, you may elect to vote either in your hometown or in your college town, but not both.

If you commute, you can register in the town where you live.

Vote!

If you're voting in person: 

Polls are open 6 a.m. — 8 p.m.

Make sure you look up your polling place to know where to go to vote (this is the same for voting in your hometown or in your college town)

If you're voting by Absentee Ballot:

Check it you are eligible to vote absentee or vote early. You can apply for an Absentee Ballot either online or in person with your Town Clerk.

If you're voting early:

Early Voting allows you to vote in person safely and securely before Election Day.

In Connecticut, Early Voting is offered 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.* on 14 days:
October 21 - 31
November 1 - 3
*8 a.m. – 8 p.m. on October 29 and 31
