About Tuition Insurance with GradGuard
What happens when a student’s education is disrupted by an unexpected injury or illness? Quinnipiac University partners with GradGuard to supplement our refund policy and offer an easy, affordable way to protect the investment our students and their families have made in higher education. The GradGuard Tuition Insurance Plan helps students and their families overcome the financial losses that may result from events which force students to withdraw from the semester due to a covered medical reason. Helping families get the most out of the Quinnipiac University experience is always our top priority.
What is Tuition Insurance?
Tuition Insurance provides peace of mind by reimbursing tuition costs beyond the university’s refund policy if a student withdraws at any time during the semester for a covered reason, such as:
-
Serious injury or illness, such as mononucleosis, a severe head injury or illness from an endemic/pandemic
-
Chronic illness, such as diabetes or an auto-immune disorder
-
Mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety
Tuition insurance is optional. The agreement is between the student and GradGuard. Quinnipiac is not a party to the agreement. The insurance must be purchased by the last day of the add/drop registration period.
How much does tuition insurance cost?
Tuition insurance costs 1.10% of the covered expense and must be paid at the time of purchase.
