Quinnipiac University
Dr. Gürpinar is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics & Information Systems at Quinnipiac University's School of Business, with a focus on the impact of emerging technologies, particularly blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, on organizations, people, and society. He also serves as a Faculty Fellow in Residence and Advisor to the Living Learning Experience Leadership Council at Quinnipiac University, where he mentors students and fosters leadership development within the campus community.

Dr. Gürpinar holds an affiliation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics, Dortmund, Germany, where blockchain research findings are transferred into practice to empower decentralized data ecosystems in various industries. He is an Editorial Board Member at the Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Journal and a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the International Association of Trusted Blockchain Applications.

Before his current role as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Gürpinar led the 360° Initiative at Blockchain Europe and the Blockchain Team at Dortmund University of Technology, where he co-founded a pioneering research group and industry meetup focused on distributed ledger technologies. His expertise lies in blockchain governance and in deploying interdisciplinary approaches to seamlessly integrate these solutions into enterprise networks.
