Assoc Prof of Business Analytics and Information Systems
Dr. Triantoro's research examines how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way people think, work, learn, and trust technology, with particular attention to how AI's design and behavior affect human judgment, wellbeing, and performance. Her work spans three connected areas: the human costs and benefits of AI in working life, the role of avatars and digital embodiment in education and business, and frameworks for human-AI collaboration. Across all three, she draws on experimental and behavioral methods to produce evidence that informs how organizations design, evaluate, and adopt AI.
At Quinnipiac, Dr. Triantoro teaches courses in business analytics and applied AI, integrating her research into the classroom so students engage directly with the methods and questions shaping the field. She serves as faculty advisor for the Business Analytics and Information Systems (BAIS) Society. She also contributes to AI and analytics programming through Quinnipiac's M&T Bank Center for Women and Business. Quinnipiac Lifelong Learning, and the ConnCORP/Quinnipiac Community Entrepreneurship Academy and Clinic
Her work has appeared in leading journals in the information systems field, including Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, the International Journal of Information Management, the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, Information Technology and Management, and Communications of the Association for Information Systems. She has presented her research at major academic conferences and at universities including Harvard, MIT, and Yale, and has received best paper awards at international information systems conferences.
Her public scholarship has appeared in The Conversation, Forbes, Fast Company, the BBC, HuffPost, Business of Fashion, MSN, and Yahoo Tech. She is the co-author of Converging Minds: The Creative Potential of Collaborative AI (Routledge, 2024) with Dr. Aleksandra Przegalinska, and a forthcoming monograph on AI and human identity.
Dr. Triantoro serves on the Advisory Board of EUonAIR, an alliance of European universities dedicated to developing a responsible and collaborative model for AI in education; the Scientific Board of the Human+AI Institute at CampusAI; and as a Council Member of the Human Race Research Center. She is a fellow at the Global Justice Program at Yale University, contributing AI expertise to research on global institutional reform. She has previously directed Business Analytics programs at Quinnipiac University and the University of Connecticut and served as co-director of Quinnipiac's M&T Bank Center for Women and Business.
In 2026, Dr. Triantoro received Quinnipiac University's Outstanding Faculty Scholar Award, the institution's highest research honor.
She earned her Ph.D. from the City University of New York and her M.S. in Information Systems from Syracuse University. A frequent international speaker, she has presented her work on six continents and visited more than 110 countries.
