Clinical Associate Professor of Nursing
Dr. Martinez has a long career in teaching nursing in BSN, MSN, and doctoral programs and believes in teaching both the art and science of nursing. He currently is an Associate Clinical Professor in Nursing at Quinnipiac University. In addition, Dr. Martinez holds a clinical position as an acute care nurse practitioner in the department of pulmonary & critical care medicine at Middlesex Hospital. Phil has been the recipient of the Middlesex Hospital family practice medicine's support person and nurse of the year awards and recognized as an innovator in advanced practice nursing. Martinez is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the National League for Nursing, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Heart Association Council on Cardiopulmonary, Critical Care, Perioperative and Resuscitation, and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
