Paula J. Demaio

Paula DeMaio is the Program Director for Advanced Medical Imaging and Leadership at Quinnipiac University, where she has been a full-time faculty member since 2018. She teaches in the Diagnostic Imaging and Sonography Programs, combining her extensive clinical experience with a passion for education to prepare students for dynamic careers in medical imaging.

With over two decades of experience in diagnostic imaging, Ms. DeMaio has held roles in ultrasonography, MRI, CT, and radiography across diverse healthcare settings, including Yale University's MRI Research Center and Milford Hospital. Her work in both clinical practice and academic environments underscores her commitment to advancing the field of medical imaging. She also served as Clinical Administrator for Quinnipiac's Community Access Imaging, a free clinic where she facilitated diagnostic exams with student involvement, reflecting her dedication to service and student mentorship.

A recipient of the prestigious Alpha Eta Society award, Ms. DeMaio is committed to excellence in both education and healthcare. Her professional certifications span multiple specialties, including diagnostic medical sonography, radiography, mammography, and MRI. She brings a comprehensive and compassionate approach to teaching, inspiring students to excel in patient care and imaging innovation.
