Patricia Kelly's resilience, hope, and empathy stem from her experiences. As a lifelong learner, she believes a quality education should be accessible and valued. She has been teaching at Quinnipiac University since the Fall of 2011. Her goal is to educate and develop future, compassionate leaders. Her courses focus on human resource management practice and introduction to management, projects, and change.
Having worked in a managed care corporate setting for over a decade, she transitioned into higher education to share her wisdom and experiences with her students. She has extensive expertise in project management, healthcare management, and leading transformational change. Her specialized skills include portfolio management relative to process improvement, assessment of training needs, diagnosis and treatment, and the ability to coach and counsel to success. She is an active member of PMI, ATD, and SHRM.
She is project management certified through George Washington University. She earned a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership at Quinnipiac University, College of Professional Studies in 2008. She earned a Master of Science degree in Instructional Design & Technology from Quinnipiac University, School of Education in 2021. She completed a certification focused on Emotional Intelligence. Her scholarship and service focus on leading effective teams while embracing the strengths and diversity of human capital. She has co-authored the following manuscripts: "Measuring Perceived Usefulness of Team Assignments" Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education, "Enhancing Project Team Outcomes Despite Provisional Work: A Discussion to leverage cross-generational Advantages", Team Performance Management, "Navigating the final mile remotely: Tips for managing effectively.", Customized Logistics & Delivery Magazine.
