Quinnipiac University
Mous-Abou Hamadou is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at Quinnipiac University. He teaches probability and statistics and shows students both the deep theory and how to use it in practice by linking proofs with computation, data work, and clear examples. Before Quinnipiac, he taught undergraduate math and statistics at the University of Mississippi and coordinated tutoring in the Bridge STEM Program; earlier, he taught high-school mathematics in Yagoua, Cameroon.

His education includes a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Mississippi (2025) with a dissertation on "Copulas and Applications of the Multivariate Central Limit Theorem in Statitics". He also earned an M.S. in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics from the University of Mississippi (2024) and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Maroua (2020). Earlier training includes the Secondary-School Teachers' Degree Grade I (2018) and Grade II (2019) from the Higher Teachers' Training College of Maroua, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maroua (2017).

His research interests are in copula theory, stochastic processes, and Markov chains. He has presented at the Joint Mathematical Meetings (2024, 2025) and the ASA Alabama–Mississippi Conference, along with numerous other meetings and symposia, and his presentations received awards. His service record includes Graduate Vice-President of Phi Kappa Phi, Treasurer of the African Caribbean Students Association, and Webmaster for the AMS Graduate Student Chapter (co-organizing a research symposium). Additional recognitions include honor-society distinctions (Phi Kappa Phi; Golden Key nominee) and multiple travel grants (AMS, Math department at Olemiss, graduate school at Olemiss) that supported his research dissemination.
