Kent B. Golden

Kent Golden (BA, Quinnipiac College; MA, University of Connecticut) is a Senior Instructor of Interactive Media + Design in the School of Communications, and Assistant Clinical Professor in the School of Medicine.

He teaches in the Graphic and Interactive Design (GID) undergraduate program, as well as the Interactive Media (ICM) graduate program in the School of Communications. Owner of Golden Multimedia, his professional work includes audio and video production, graphic design, web design, motion graphics/animation, special effects, mobile app design, and a specialty in interactive museum exhibits. His current interests are in AI (Artificial Intelligence), VR (Virtual Reality), and AR (Augmented Reality) as they relate to design.

Clients have included the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, the Great River Children's Museum, Elizabeth Park, the Shoreline Trolley Museum, and the Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival. Many of his projects can be viewed at www.GoldenMultimedia.com.

He has a B.A. in Psychology from Quinnipiac College, a Master's in Educational Technology from the University of Connecticut, studied Digital Video at Yale University and Motion Media at SCAD, and has certifications from Microsoft and Crestron. His background includes tech support and systems administration, as well as custom Audio/Video design and programming.
He is also an Apple certified developer for iOS apps, and a licensed Remote Pilot for drones (sUAS) through the FAA.
