
Associate Teaching Professor of Criminal Justice
Prior to her experiece in higher education, she worked for the Connecticut Department of Correction where she held a myriad of roles. She worked at various facilities and has expertise working with both the male and female offender populations as well as the youth and those who are diagnosed with mental health issues. Jenna was also a statewide certified trainer at the academy where she assisted in the re-imagined pre-service curriculum for new hires of the department. She was also a part of the department's honor guard unit and a member of the correctional emergency reponse team (C.E.R.T.).
Jenna has a column with Corrections1 titled "Integrity and the Badge" where she has written articles surrounding several important topics within the correctional field. Jenna has earned various awards over her tenure in higher education including the outstanding full-time faculty award, instructor of the year, and teaching in excellence award.
