Bridget Rich came to Quinnipiac University in 2020 having completed her master's degree in science of Nursing from University of Hartford. Bridget has had experience in Medical-Surgical, Medical-Surgical Intensive Care, Urology Ambulatory Care, Perianesthesia Care and Pediatric Perianesthesia and Pediatric Perioperative Care. She started as Clinical Adjunct Faculty and began her Full Time Clinical Instructor of Nursing role in August of 2022 before moving into the Assistant Dean of Clinical Education role in May 2023. She continues to work as a Per Diem Clinical Nurse in Perioperative Services at Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

Bridget teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Quinnipiac. She has applied her over 2 decades of nursing experience in teaching care of the adult and pediatric patient. She is passionate when it comes to teaching and advocating for all nursing students to attain core competencies in Nursing Informatics.

Bridget teaches in both the online classroom and on-ground at the North Haven campus, teaches clinical groups, advises undergraduate nursing students and is a member of the Computing and Informatics at QU committee.

Bridget Rich was a recipient of the Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing from the Connecticut VNA in 2013.
