On behalf of EQUIP Rehabilitation (a QU graduate organization that is led by physical therapy students), the All Abilities Team is hosting the 7th annual Wheels in Motion event on November 1st from 9-12pm. The event is hosted every year to fundraise for adaptive sports programs in our community. These adaptive sports programs create a community for athletes with disabilities while also allowing the opportunity to play high-level sports. To continue their programming and remain competitive, teams are met with high travel costs and constant maintenance of wheelchairs and equipment, which is why it is important to fundraise and raise awareness through events like Wheels in Motion.
As part of the event, our All-Abilities team led by Quinnipiac Physical Therapy students create themed raffle baskets to raise additional funds. We would like to table for the event on Main Campus so we can open the event to undergraduates to participate, as well as share the raffle baskets we have created and give the students the opportunity to support the cause and enter to win a basket.
(The event is not currently on Common Hour Calendar, but we would love to put this event on the Common Hour Calendar and we are currently working on it ).
