Cinema has long been a powerful tool for preserving and sharing Black narratives. Join us for a screening of Triple Six Eight, followed by a discussion on the film’s themes and historical impact. This event will explore the often-overlooked contributions of Black women in World War II, particularly the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion—the first and only all-Black, all-female battalion to serve overseas. Learn how these courageous women played a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of mail to American troops, boosting morale and demonstrating excellence in the face of adversity. This screening will shed light on their significance in shaping history and inspire conversation about their lasting legacy. At Quinnipiac, our mission is to create an inclusive community where every member is acknowledged, respected and has the necessary resources to thrive, both individually and together. The Office of Inclusive Excellence works to co-create a globally engaged, culturally rich and highly collaborative campus through our programmatic efforts, first-year transitional and leadership programs, identity and cultural organizations, and training opportunities.
