Orientation is designed to assist new students with finding their way around Quinnipiac, register for classes, learn more about procedures and expectations — and start meeting fellow Bobcats!

Registration for Orientation is available in Q-Start, the new student onboarding portal. We'll send you more information as the dates get closer.

Date options for first-year students will be:

Admitted Student Task List / Q-Start

Q-Start is our digital platform designed to help you begin your journey at Quinnipiac. All incoming students are sent a welcome email in the spring with instructions on how to establish their Quinnipiac email account and access Q-Start. Q-Start guides you through essential steps like setting up your academic plan, managing your finances, preparing for campus living, and addressing your health and safety as you join the Quinnipiac community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to the questions admitted students commonly have about Quinnipiac. Please contact us if you need more information.

All students must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for all forms of financial aid. The FAFSA can be filed online.

*The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will open on December 1. Applicants are encouraged to file the FAFSA to apply for financial aid as early as possible.

Quinnipiac's FAFSA code is 001402.

Complete the FAFSA

Early-decision students, who have a February 1 deposit deadline and are seeking financial aid, must file the FAFSA as soon as possible to confirm their eligibility for need-based federal and/or Quinnipiac grant aid.

Explore Undergraduate Tuition and Financial Aid

You'll receive an email from the Office of Financial Aid when your offer is ready to be viewed online. Click on the “Financial aid award” link to see your award. If you filed the FAFSA and no award appears, please check with the financial aid office to see if we are missing any information by calling 203-582-8750.

All admitted first-year students are given consideration for merit-based scholarship and recipients are notified in their letter of acceptance.

Explore outside scholarships

The Honors Program coordinates unique opportunities to express and support intellectual curiosity and academic leadership. The program selects incoming first-year students to participate in this enriching and engaging community. Interested students fill out a brief application with a personal statement reflective of their interest in the program.

Housing is guaranteed for the first 3 years and on a space-available basis in the senior year. First-year students will be housed in the Ledges, the Commons, Irma, Dana and Mountainview. You’ll fill out a roommate inventory questionnaire as part of your orientation information. Once your deposit is received, you’ll receive your housing and roommate assignments in January for spring entrants, and on August 1 for fall first years.

New first-year students entering Quinnipiac semester are required to live in campus housing for their first 3 years of study. In general, first-year and sophomore students live on the Mount Carmel Campus and upperclass students live on the York Hill Campus, in the Whitney Village apartments or in university-owned houses.

**You may submit a matriculation fee/housing deposit fee waiver form if you have been offered a Federal PELL Grant as part of your financial aid package or are a VA benefit-eligible veteran or dependent.
