Making an Impact
Did you know that there are nearly 175 undergraduate student-run clubs and organizations available to you? And better yet, the roster of clubs and organizations continues to evolve based on what you and your peers want.
Here's a sampling of some of the newest clubs and organizations your fellow Bobcats have formed in the past year:
Co-Ed Wrestling
Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services Student Chapter at Quinnipiac University
Quinnipiac Sim Racing Club
The Pizza Project
Our CARE team supported 21% of first-year students last year, to assist in their transition to the university community, managing more than 900 total cases throughout the year.
The most common things they support were stress and anxiety, academics, and illness/injury.
Hartford HealthCare counseling services had nearly 5,000 appointments this past academic year. Hartford HealthCare health services had more than 4,800 appointments this past academic year.
Fifty mental-health trainings were offered to the community, including mental health first aid and QPR (suicide prevention).
The Registrar’s Office provides essential enrollment, curricular and student record services to the entire university and alumni community. It supports all inquiries that extend to enrollment and registration, course information and scheduling, grading/transcript production, and ultimately degree clearance and certification.
You can contact the Registrar at QU.edu/registrar or email registrar@qu.edu for the following registration questions, enrollment verification or loan deferral forms, transfer credits, change of majors and/or minors
Fall Course Registration happens during your orientation session. You will meet with school representatives and register for their fall classes. If you need to make changes during the summer, open registration will begin July 2 and extends until August 29.
We're now halfway through Orientation — and we are feeling inspired as we get to know you and your fellow Bobcats. Check out some photos from this past week and quotes from some of your fellow Bobcats.
With the assistance of staff and faculty, and guidance of 50 student orientation leaders, a total of six two-day orientation sessions will help prepare you as you begin your unique Quinnipiac journey.
“Orientation is so important as it sets the foundation for their learning engagement with others and comfortability with the campus. As we begin this process, we’re so excited to have our entering students for the Class of 2029.” — Tom Ellett, chief experience officer
Our Orientation sessions continue next week — and we are so excited to welcome you to the Quinnipiac community!
If you have not already registered for our mandatory first-year Orientation, please do so today
Starting college is a stressful process. We get it — and we are also uniquely positioned to help you shake out some of that anxiety.
Here are a few things that might make you feel a little better:
Each of our first-year and transfer Orientation sessions are organized and led by Quinnipiac students who were in your shoes not that long ago
Each session is carefully designed with your journey in mind
You will be part of a small group of new students led by two dedicated student leaders known as Orientation Leaders
Throughout your session, we will help you:
Register for your fall courses
Learn about resources and services offered at Quinnipiac
Understand some of our most cherished Bobcat traditions
Connect with other incoming students and their families
Change can be scary, but please know you are not alone in this process. You were carefully selected to be a Bobcat because we are confident you will fit in well with our Bobcat family.
You will have questions throughout your journey — at Orientation and beyond — and please ask them. We are here for you, every step of the way!
Students will register for the Fall 2025 courses during their Orientation sessions. Students will work with their academic department to schedule their courses. Course selection sheets will help guide you in planning your schedule
If you requested to meet with an academic coach over the summer, your coach will engage with you during Orientation to schedule your summer meetings.

Our One Stop and Financial Aid offices are thrilled to welcome you to Quinnipiac! Here is some important information about the billing, payment and financial aid cycles that you need to know:
Quinnipiac has five terms each academic year (Fall, January-term, Spring, Summer I and Summer II terms), and students are billed separately for each term. We are currently preparing for Fall 2025.
Billing for Fall 2025: Notices that invoices are available will be sent to all students and their proxy (parent, guardian, spouse or other individual) on or around Monday, June 16.
Payment Due Date: Tuesday, July 15
Students may authorize a proxy to have access to Self-Service to make payments on behalf of the student or to view grades. In addition, authorizing a proxy also allows the appropriate Quinnipiac faculty and staff to discuss relevant matters with the proxy. The student may authorize a proxy to all or a subset of the following:
Student finance information
Financial aid information
Academics (final grades)
Tax information
Notifications (receive email notifications on the above)
Students who have accepted their financial aid offer on Self-Service will see their aid reflected on their student invoice.
Recently accepted federal student loans will appear on the student’s invoice once the approved loan is returned by the Department of Education for processing (this is generally a 48-hour process). First-time federal student loan borrowers are required to complete Loan Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note before the loan funds can be applied against the student account. Please refer to the Financial Aid tab on Self-Service for instructions to complete the requirements.
The invoice will reflect recent applications for a private student loan or Federal Direct PLUS Loan once the Financial Aid Office certifies the loan for payment. Please allow up to two weeks for the loan to appear against the invoice. Students who are planning to apply for a private student loan, or parents who are planning to apply for a Federal Direct PLUS Loan, should apply for the loan in a timely manner to allow for ample time for the loan to apply against the charges in time for the payment due date.
Information regarding private and parent loan borrowing is available at QU.edu/finaid
Outside scholarships will not be reflected on the invoice until received. Please let both onestop@qu.edu and finaid@qu.edu know about any expected outside scholarships as soon as possible.
Quinnipiac offers payment plans to help meet educational expenses. These plans are available for the fall and spring terms on a semester-by-semester basis and can be set up for up to five monthly payments per semester.
The payment plan is not a loan program. There is no debt; there are no interest or finance charges assessed, and there is no credit check.
The cost to budget the interest-free monthly payment plan is a $75 nonrefundable enrollment fee per agreement.
For the Fall 2025 term, two payment plans are offered:
2025 Fall UG/GR (Auto-Adjust) – this plan covers the student’s full balance due and will automatically adjust if the amount owed changes. Therefore, if financial aid is applied the balance due on the payment plan will automatically adjust. This adjustment can lead to an increase or decrease of the monthly payment plan. The remaining balance due will be split among the remaining payments.
2025 Fall UG/GR (Fixed Balance) – this plan allows the student to determine the amount to pay via the payment plan. To make any adjustments to the amount after the first payment is due, the student needs to email the One Stop office.

Information for the 5-month Spring 2026 Payment Plan will be offered with receipt of the spring semester invoice later this year. Payment plan registration is required each term. There are no payment plans for the January, Summer I or Summer II terms.
