Welcome back to an exciting Spring 2026 semester!

I hope your start to the new year has been positive and that you’re energized for the semester ahead. I’m excited to be back on campus with you!

As you know, we’re continuing a strategic visioning process to chart our next strategic plan and operational goals. Save these dates: February 5 and February 19. That is when we will be diving into the next phase.

As we do that, we’re bolstered by:

  • A clear, compelling mission that we live, every day. Our mission — to prepare graduates as enlightened, global citizens equipped for the challenges and opportunities of current and future careers — is embedded in our relentless pursuit of excellence across all units at Quinnipiac.

  • Shared values that drive us to meet our mission. During the past few months, hundreds of you, along with alumni and students, told us about your values and how they’re reflected in your work. What emerged is our common commitment: to our students, to one another, and to creating a better future.

  • Unique strengths we can leverage for our next strategic plan. As we draw on our values to deliver on the promise of our mission, we must elevate Quinnipiac as a destination for ambitious students, strengthen our value for employers and communities, and separate ourselves from our competitors.

There is no doubt: These are challenging times for universities and the learners they serve. But we are well positioned to meet those challenges, to thrive, and to set up every Bobcat for success. We will draw on our unique attributes among institutions of higher education.

I hope you’ll join me as we embark on the next phase of our visioning process. On February 5, we will host Part I: a Strategic Visioning Overview Session, during which we will share our newly developed core values statement, an outcome shaped by the collective input of our community, and engage in a guided discussion about Quinnipiac’s key assets and strengths. These conversations will inform a second community session on February 19, when we will consider our vision and gather feedback as we transition into the strategic planning phase.

Two sessions will be held on each date, one on the Mount Carmel Campus and one on the North Haven Campus. A formal invitation with additional details will follow, and I hope you will take part in these important conversations.

I’m energized and looking forward to an exciting spring semester with you all.

With appreciation,

Marie Hardin
President
