Located just inside the main entrance to the Mount Carmel Campus in the former Faculty Office Building, the completely renovated and reimagined 15,000 square-foot space combines two levels of shopping, with plenty of school spirit on display across a huge variety of Quinnipiac apparel and merchandise.
The bookstore officially opened on January 20, the first day of the 2026 spring semester. The light and airy main floor greets guests with an incredible spread of diverse Bobcat apparel, game wear, merchandise and spirit gear. Inventory filling the beautifully arranged open space is visible from all points on the main floor including views through the glass-walled central staircase leading to the lower level.
“This is really cool! This is really fun,” said Emily Spada ’26. “It definitely feels like a brand-new kind of vibe, and they have so much fun stuff, like the little toys, and all the new clothes are really cool. There’s a lot of stuff in here that I want to buy, so that’s fun!”
The vast variety of Quinnipiac items on both floors is complimented by an amazing mix of interesting toys, jewelry, greeting cards, games, plush toys, trendy accessories and great gifts as well as school supplies, dorm essentials, electronics and more.
Spada came from class to check out the new bookstore with her friends including Lola Lombardi ’26.
“I think everywhere is super-new and catches your eye,” Lombardi said. “I also like how all the books are now in one place.”
A dedicated section in the lower level supports textbook sales and services. Luke Rienzie ’27, said the new textbook area is large and well-organized.
“I needed a physics lab textbook, and it was very easy to find,” said Rienzie.
Joseph Tuttolomondo, ’26, MS ’27, said the new design and layout of the bookstore makes for an enjoyable experience.
“I do really like the new bookstore. It’s aesthetically pleasing. I like to shop around, and I like how it’s two levels,” Tuttolomondo said.
Maddie Loffredo ’26, said the bookstore’s expanded space and inventory feels more geared to students and to serving students’ needs.
"It feels more tailored to students. There’s a lot of stuff for students that kids would want. It’s also so much bigger and much more spacious, and there are a lot of new items,” said Loffredo.
“We’re always following what’s in style for students and what people like,” said Suzanna Elzoul, the bookstore’s general merchandise manager. “From kids all the way to grandma and grandpa; dad, mom, and juniors, we’ve tried to include everyone.”
Campus store manager Brittany Calabro said customers are enjoying the new experience.
“I think they love the space and how everything’s connected. They’re saying it’s more open and easier to shop,” Calabro said.
The new bookstore also has its own customer elevator and restroom and will soon include a fitting room.
Elzoul said the bookstore’s greater floor area and great lighting — including plenty of natural light from windows on the main floor -- helps make products more accessible and visible compared to the former bookstore inside the Carl Hansen Student Center.
“It brings the items to life, and everybody is really comfortable moving around in this new space,” said Elzoul. “We also try to make it easy for students to find everything they need, even if it’s a little gift. We want it to be easy and available for them.”
Sophie Goodrow '26, said she loves the entire new bookstore experience.
"It's absolutely stunning," she said. "It reminds me of an Apple Store. There's so much great natural light, and great merchandise."
