We’re Here For You

Use Our Selection Tool to Help Select Your Roommate

For our students living on campus, finding a roommate can be stressful — but don't worry, we have a special tool to help make it easier to find a great match.

To access the tool:

  • Go to MyHousing

  • Select Room/Roommate Selection

  • Select Fall 2025

  • You may select one to three roommates

  • Make your selection by July 2

If you have already identified a roommate or roommates, you can search for them by first or last name.

If you would like to find a roommate who has a similar lifestyle, you can search by the answer to any of the lifestyle questions.

Please note: Students accepted in LLCs or The Grove see students who were also selected for the same community.

All roommate groups must be fully matched. This means that roommate requests must be mutual; your roommate must also request you as their roommate. If you are requesting three roommates to form a group of four, each person must request every other person in the group to be fully matched. Once the request is mutual, you will see the message “Your roommate group is fully matched.” If the group is not fully matched, you will not be assigned as roommates.

You may add or remove requested roommates through July 2, if your plans change.

It is important to note that close to 50% of students DO NOT identify a roommate match, so don’t feel like you are alone if you don’t have one to match. You might meet someone at Orientation, or prefer to just let the questionnaire results match you with a roommate. It is not uncommon for half of our incoming students to not have a preference.

If you have any questions on this or anything else, contact one of our Q-Start students (Kayla, Eve or Leticia) and they will be happy to provide perspective and thoughts on the process.

Get to Know Our Spiritual and Religious Life

If Spiritual and Religious Life matters to you, you're in the right place!

This aspect of our Bobcat family has experienced remarkable growth in student engagement this past year — with more than 11,850 student interactions, a 404% increase year over year, thanks to expanded programming and vibrant student leadership.

To break it down further, in the past year there have been:

  • 108 Catholic programs with nearly 1,500 attendees and more than 120 one-on-one meetings; Mass had nearly 3,000 attendees, an increase over the previous year. Join our weekly Mass at 4 p.m. on Sundays in our Mount Carmel Campus Chapel inn back of the College of Arts and Sciences buildings 1 and 2. There is also weekly adoration, rosary group and a fun gospel choir that meets to sing at Mass.

  • 29 Jewish programs with nearly 800 attendees, and nearly 1,200 Hereld House visitors, which is up 120% over the previous year. Join Shabbat every Friday at 5 p.m at the Hereld House near Echlin Hall. In addition, there are many programs are offered weekly there.

  • 19 Muslim programs with more than 800 attendees, with nearly 3,250 swipes into the prayer space. A new, larger prayer space is being created in Tator Hall and Eid and other celebrations occur each semester.

  • 89 Christian programs with nearly 1,000 attendees and more than 40 one-on-one meetings.

  • 16 interfaith programs with nearly 400 attendees and more than 30 one-on-one meetings.

  • 271 programs, bringing together nearly 4,500 attendees and nearly 12,000 interactions.

All religious events are open to ALL students even if you don’t identify with that religious tradition.

We are excited to welcome Catherine Gillespie as the new director of Spiritual and Religious Life, who began on Monday, continuing this momentum into the coming year and beyond!

Bobcat Academy: Supporting Your Student’s Success

Bobcat Academy provides first-year students with a strong foundation through personalized support, community-building, and structured programming.

With academic coaches, program advisers, and faculty mentors, students receive guidance from day one.

The program includes a seven-week studies strategy course, one-on-one coaching, milestone planning, and engaging events like social outings and meals with deans.

Through regular check-ins and intentional connection, Bobcat Academy ensures your students feel supported, confident and ready to thrive throughout their first year.

Bobcat Academy allows you to start your college transition with 13 credits in the Fall without penalty for academic progress.

Last year’s group included 60 students from a variety of majors; 50% earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and eighteen students achieved a 3.5 or above, qualifying for the Dean’s List.

Student Experience

Orientation is a Major Bobcat Milestone

Our first Orientation session kicks off on Monday — and we are so excited to welcome you to the Quinnipiac community!

If you have not already registered for our mandatory first-year Orientation, please do so today.

Starting college is a stressful process. We get it — and we are also uniquely positioned to help you shake out some of that anxiety.

Here are a few things that might make you feel a little better:

  • Each of our first-year and transfer Orientation sessions are organized and led by Quinnipiac students who were in your shoes not that long ago

  • Each session is carefully designed with your journey in mind

  • You will be part of a small group of new students led by two dedicated student leaders known as Orientation Leaders

  • Throughout your session, we will help you:

    • Register for your fall courses

    • Learn about resources and services offered at Quinnipiac

    • Understand some of our most cherished Bobcat traditions

    • Connect with other incoming students and their families

Change can be scary, but please know you are not alone in this process. You were carefully selected to be a Bobcat because we are confident you will fit in well with our Bobcat family.

You will have questions throughout your journey — at Orientation and beyond — and please ask them. We are here for you, every step of the way!

Register for your courses during Orientation

Students will register for the Fall 2025 courses during their orientation sessions. Students will work with their academic department to schedule their courses. Course selection sheets will help guide you in planning your schedule.

Your Academic Coach Will Be at Orientation

If you requested to meet with an academic coach over the summer, your coach will engage with you during Orientation to schedule your summer meetings.

An Engaging Student Experience

As a Quinnipiac Bobcat, you will be steps away from 175+ unique student-run clubs and organizations. Whether you are a commuter or residential student, we've got you covered. The Commuter Student Union, your Resident Assistant and your Orientation Leader are all here to help you!

GROVE/Living-Learning Community Announcements Made

We have communicated to students who applied to the Grove/LLCs of their admittance into the specialized housing communities.

This was a very hard decision as there was a significant number of applications for these programs.

A communication to those who didn’t get selected will be receiving information on our waiting list process AND encouraging those not accepted to The Grove to live in an LLC. More details to come.

Enroll In or Waive Student Health Insurance

The Gallagher Student Health Insurance Portal is now open to all students to waive or enroll in student health insurance. All students must maintain medical insurance throughout their time as a student at Quinnipiac.

Enroll: The university offers a health insurance plan designated for students through gallagherstudent.com/quinnipiac which provides coverage for illness and injuries that occur on and off campus. It also includes dental and eye coverage up to age 26.

Waive: Students may waive the Gallagher health insurance coverage if they present evidence of other health insurance, including coverage under a parent’s or guardian’s plan. The plan must provide equal or greater benefit coverage to that of the Gallagher student plan.

Health insurance charges appear on all invoices by default. Students have until August 31 to waive the health insurance; if no action is taken by August 31 they will be enrolled in the plan. Students who opt out of the Gallagher student plan will find the charge removed from their invoice within seven business days. Insurance waivers approved after June 11 will generate a credit on the student’s account.

Please act now: Students must either choose to opt in or opt out of health insurance.
