A diverse group of experts will take part in a question-and-answer session and panel discussion, “COVID-19 Vaccines: Empowering Our Communities and Informing Your Decisions V,” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 2.

The virtual event, co-sponsored by Quinnipiac and its School of Health Sciences, is free and open to the public. Click here to register.

Janelle Chiasera, dean of the School of Health Sciences, will moderate the discussion.

“With the recent approval of the Pfizer vaccine, talk of booster shots, rising delta variant cases and the return of students to schools, I cannot think of a better time to bring together our experts to provide clarity on these topics and to be there to answer questions,” Chiasera said.

The panel will include Quinnipiac’s Lisa Cuchara, professor of biomedical sciences; Anne Dichele, dean of the School of Education; Dr. David Hill, professor of medical sciences, director of global public health and senior medical adviser for COVID-19; and John Thomas, professor of law. Nurse practitioner Mary Peterson also will participate.

The event will feature a question-and-answer session. Registration is required, and there is an option to submit questions up front. For more information, call 203-582-8652.
