About Valerie Gribben, MD

Dr. Valerie Gribben is the Interim Director of Faculty Development at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Dr. Gribben completed her pediatric residency and Chief Residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford with a scholarly concentration was Medical Education. 

As an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), she has conducted research on fostering positive learning environments, developing innovative curriculums in medical education, and expanding medical humanities work. 

A prolific writer, Dr. Gribben has also published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and national media, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times.
